Our ServicesOur Services

The Practice incorporates architectural and masterplanning skills and can draw upon specialist planning advice which provides a robustness and breadth to our design approach. We offer services throughout the RIBA Plan of Work, with clients free to define the scope of the work they engage us on.

Our portfolio of work is diverse, encompassing housing, educational, cultural, industrial, commercial, sports and retail projects within local and regional areas. Our regular clients include housing associations, national house builders and public bodies such as West Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council.

Multi disciplinary working enables us to support our clients from the early planning strategy stages through the design and construction process. A strong technical and project management resource guides our designs on practical issues, advising on matters as diverse as maintenance, build-ability and health and safety.

Our knowledge base is invaluable in moving forward the current agenda for design and more innovative and sustainable construction methods in the face of increased pressure for the delivery of practical and sustainable solutions. We have extensive experience in designing to meet standards such as the Code for Sustainable Homes, Lifetime Homes, Building for Life, BREEAM and Housing Quality Indicators.

Our goalsOur goals

At MH Architects we strive to continuously improve the way we practice architecture, by professional training, post project evaluation, client feedback and consistently measuring ourselves against best practice.

On every project we want to produce the best building possible, in the most economical way and by using the fewest resources, both in construction and operation. We are committed to optimizing the buildings we design to make the most of beneficial solar gain, natural light, water use and reducing the heat loss through the building fabric. We believe that designing in this way reduces the energy usage of the finished building with clear environmental benefit. From this solid foundation of sustainable design we are also then able to incorporate renewable energy technologies to reduce carbon take and safeguard and future proof our designs for future generations.

We pride ourselves on our excellent client relationships, as illustrated by our high percentage of repeat clients. We will continue to build on this and forge strong relationships with new clients, ensuring that the design process is one in which all members of the team work together in a cohesive and collaborative way.
