This scheme on the site of a Victorian corset factory was the outcome of extensive conceptual studies. The high density proposals house 32 one and two bed apartments and have numerous terraces and balconies that offer long views to St. Mary’s Church.
Radical solutions were found to ensure adequate light and ventilation to the flats, while the scheme respects its Conservation Area setting and uses traditional materials in a contemporary way.
In early 2012 Alliance House was a Regional Finalist in the Civic Trust Awards.
